The elements separation shows in this CONTAX Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar 100-300mm f/4.5-5.6 happened on its middle lens group. Following the standard re-cementing procedure - taking out the lens group, taking apart the two elements, thorough cleaning, re-cementing precisely, the problem can be totally restored!
For this lens, most of the cases of the elements separation occurred in the rear lens group, only a few in the middle group.
