The outer surface of the front glass of this Astro-Berlin Gauss-Tachar 75mm f/2.0 was full of scratches and some fungus scars. The defects was too serious to affect the image quality. The only way to make the glass clean and clear again, and preserve the image quality the same as its original one is to make a polishing treatment. As you can see the from last two attached images, its a significant difference.
